🗨️It was supposed to be a practical joke, you know, the whole Viking revival thing.
"Let's go Viking," someone suggested, "like in the old days."

💥And so they did.

"I took one last look at the dancing aurora in the skies and held onto them like a shipwrecked sailor holds on to the faint outline of an unreachable shore as I forced my trembling feet to take one step, then another, towards the square."

While THE CURRENCIES WE CHOOSE is in the trenches, introducing my new project:

🌻 MEMENTO, a psychological espionage thriller in the fine tradition of John Le Carré - but with a feminist perspective. MEMENTO is a novel about female friendship and resistance against a corrupted system.

"Every year, at Winter Nights, they'd drink at the feet of the old mounds at Gamla Uppsala, where they had buried their dead in anonymous mass Graves after the uprising."

Up North they say heritage doesn't matter.
Only who you choose to become.

Then why do they keep looking at me as if I was *her*?
And why do I keep searching for my answers in her work?

A passage from one of David Grossman's essays in "The Thinking Heart" that has inspired me immensely to write my current book 👇🏻

The one thing I, as an AI researcher, wish people understood about LLMs 👇🏻
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Writing is almost as bad as science where one question answered leads to ten new ones to be researched.

One character's story brings so many other characters to life. Each with a story to be told.

Too many stories go untold. And too many questions remain un-researched.

Feeling like a writing kangaroo:

A foot joey in the query trenches
A book being written, growing in the pouch; peeking out sometimes, testing the waters of the world that surrounds it
And the seed of a story in suspense, waiting its turn in the womb, as yet invisible
