There were HUGE protests yesterday, but there is not one article about it on the NYT mobile homepage this afternoon. Are the protests not worthy of second-day coverage because they were largely peaceful? Isn’t that the headline—that they were huge and peaceful despite provocation by the president?

I enjoyed reading WaPo editorial even more than NYT+Guardian. But thanks to Bezos, the days of “Democracy Dies in Darkness” are over. I am grateful there is a growing independent press. I highly recommend the Contrarian on Substack with Jennifer Rubin as editor-in-chief and Norm Eisen as publisher.
