Smut rarely surprises me… today it did. Pages of descriptive touch (heavy petting,etc) then a single sentence about a violent sexual act (situation? Outcome) that had me gasping and throwing the book across the room. Then the monster “heals” her with “magic touch.” I’m all for dark romance but ugh.
