Update I'm back in France 🇫🇷! Joining Inserm to build a multi-omics team on retinal development, at the nexus of live imaging, omics & human embryology.

Huge thanks to CZ Biohub SF folks, esp. my mentor, friend & science soulmate @loicaroyer.bsky.social for the amazing time. More cool science soon🧪
Kudos @ritastrack.bsky.social for the great years at NMeth!
And congrats to my former colleague Jordao Bragantini for ultrack (and the well deserved cover 🎉) and @teunhuijben.bsky.social for inTRACKtive.
Glad I could contribute to these two wonderful endeavors. GO team @loicaroyer.bsky.social! 🧪🔬
I won't talk about NMeth @natmethods.nature.com forever (probably), but I do want to brag a bit about the November focus issue on cell segmentation and tracking, which is many ways is my last hurrah (and final editorial) for the journal. I am so proud of these papers!! www.nature.com/nmeth/volume...

We have developed a new workflow to map whole human organs in 3D & at single-cell resolution

Colleague Prof. Luciane Kagohara mapped out the transcriptomic profile + aneuploidy of ovarian precancerous lesions (STIC) in healthy fallopian tube.

Curiously... 2D projections from a Snouty light-sheet microscope (typically software generated) can also be generated OPTICALLY!

-> A pair of mirrors in front of the camera can directly 'unshear' to give ULTRAFAST 2D projections of the 3D object from different directions!

Some #zebrafish news. After consulting with the Genome Reference Consortium (GRC) we will annotate one of our Tübingen T2T assemblies as a reference genome. This is an excellent assembly that we can get into the hands of the zebrafish research community right now. We are continuing our efforts
