Fluoroquinolone antibiotics like Cipro + Levaquin carry 7 black boxed warnings, one of which warns of potentially permanent disability, even after one dose. Happened to me after two. Disabled 3 years now.
If you're like me and grew up thinking antibiotics just meant stuff like penicillin battling bad bacteria, bad news.
This one "inhibits the supercoiling activity of the DNA gyrase enzyme" - it stops friggin DNA synthesis!
