Word of the day: Grandiosity - a sense of specialness that might lead you to: boast about real or exaggerated accomplishments, consider yourself more talented or intelligent than others, dismiss or try to one-up the achievements of others, believe you don't need anyone else to succeed.

I thought the Trump coin was some silly token aimed at MAGA. And yes, but its real purpose is much more corrupt, with Trump making millions on the transaction fees alone. No transparency about who’s buying (China, Russian oligarchs). No transparency selling.

Just finished Niall Williams book This is Happiness. It’s his best I’ve read so far - a beautiful evocation of life in West Clare in the late 50’s during what was called rural electrification. A love story too. Highly recommended. #SpeirGorm #books

Amongst other things Trump has 1. Fired head of the office of government ethics. 2. Stopped the enforcement of the Foreign corrupt practices act. 3. Fired independent watchdogs. This is a charter for corruption, with no attempt to hide it.

FB content moderation - outsourced, no mental health counselling, poor pay, despite what FB might pretend it aspires to. But to cancel it entirely is madness. Is this a job that could be done by AI?

All bets are off: why the Guardian has decided to reject gambling advertising

It’s so great to see this. Gambling advertising is so pervasive and the consequences of gambling can be devastating. Guardian has already take a stand on X advertising 👏👏
