YouTube is attempting to make ad-blockers annoying to use by disabling audio in their videos for people with an ad-blocker. Yet another item in the long-ass list of reasons why I hate YouTube and honestly hope it crumbles to some new competitor in the future that isn't owned by Google.

Truth be told: I would absolutely not mind sitting through ads if they were actually entertaining. Instead, too many are low-effort slop, annoying, or rage-inducing. So I block every ad I see. I don't care. Boo to the capitalist regime.
