I'll reach my bucket list goals!
My problem with mushroom hunting is needing to keep my eyes on the ground, as I can't read the forest well. This results in me frequently walking into spider webs, which is unfortunate for the spiders and terrifying for me. One year, we had a mushroom box in the basement—that was wonderful!
I write my foraging book every morning before work. Sometimes all I need is to write one good sentence to be satisfied.
This morning’s sentence was “You live, you die, you do some stuff in between. If you want to live the fullest life I recommend hunting mushrooms be some of that stuff.”

The US has become overly influenced by Russia and can no longer be relied upon as a NATO ally. Excluding the US from the meeting seems like a wise and prudent decision.
Military chiefs from most NATO and EU countries met in Paris yesterday to discuss new security arrangements. The US wasn’t invited.
It was a closed door meeting and there’s been no announcement of outcome but with both Australia and Japan in attendance we seem to be seeing a new alliance forming.

Tough times create strong individuals. But when someone is too hardened, it's like they have rigor mortis—because they're no longer alive inside.
*whiny voice* "I don't want measles! I don't want another great depression!" What happened to being tough. What happened to suffering and dying needlessly
