I sometimes like to think of myself as a "self taught" #artist, especially when it comes to painting, but the reality is that no one is self taught. We have teachers all around us every day.. People we meet, #nature we see, #art we consume.. All are my teachers.. I am forever a student!

Holidays can be as stressful as they are fun.. Remember that it is OK to take breaks! It is OK to #breathe. Self care is more important during stressful times.. Work in moments of rest and #reset! A few minutes in between can make a huge difference. #mentalhealth #autistic #cptsd #audhd #selfcare

My birthday was this week. It is strange to think I am now less than a year from 40. There were points in my life where I believed I was never going to make it there, that my own mental health struggles would cause me to end it before this point! It is surreal and exhilarating! #cptsd #mentalhealth

When I think of #art I look at as a way of life. Art is #creativity. It is freedom of #expression. It is beauty and it is flawed. Art is a way of being. It is freeing to splash paint onto a canvas, to shape a piece of clay, to tweak a pixel, to draw a shape, the ink between the lines and beyond.
