All recipe collection apps should have an 'add note' function so every user can write down individual notes for recipes.

"can sub one 20cm round tin for two 5 inch tins and one 4 inch tin"; "tastes fine with half the sugar content"; "takes 5 minutes less in our oven"; "reduce to half for our pans"

Hub's birthday dinner. Medium rare beef eye fillet (we were given the ends, was a bit easier to get just right than I feared), Ceasar salad and the full sized spanakopita I made Saturday after making mini ones. Also a mini cake that I made with extra batter for the Victoria sponge.

To be fair, as much as I dislike carrots, their colouring does make the prettiest hot sauce. Carrot, chili, garlic, ginger, onion, pulp and juice of one ruby grapefruit, 5% salt fermented for 2 weeks.
雖然不愛胡蘿蔔,不過作出來的辣椒醬顏色實在很美。胡蘿蔔、辣椒、大蒜、生薑、洋蔥,紅葡萄柚果肉跟果汁,百分之五的鹽漬兩週。

One and a half hours later... Chilli, onion, ginger garlic, carrots, pulp and juice of one ruby grapefruit. 5% salt mash. Let the fermentation experiment begin.
一個半小時後...辣椒、洋蔥、生薑、大蒜、胡蘿蔔,以及一顆紅葡萄柚的果肉跟果汁。與材料5%重量的鹽一起約略打碎。開始發酵實驗。

Trying one of those moody meadow painting things but with acrylics instead of gouache and finding it way more addictive and forgiving than anticipated. Going from dark to light is very different than the light to dark of watercolours.

Hubs agreed to a Korean/Japanese BBQ this evening so I already got my money's worth out of the grill plate 😂 every meal I cook on this thereafter is a bonus 😼

Grouted. The downside of buying the same coloured (in name) tiles two years apart is that.... it's not actually the same colour. We'll just pretend I meant to do this.
泥漿塗好塗滿。同(名)顏色的磁磚塊隔兩年再買的壞處就是...顏色完全是不同的色調。我就假裝我本來就是這樣打算的好了。

Bought a cheapie grill pan to do Japanese/Korean BBQ at home on the deck because everything is extra exxy. Also I found the perfect marinade and who knew it would be kimchi marinade leftovers.

Recipe_tin's easy no knead bread recipe. I did knead it a little bit to give it a bit more bounce because last time I didn't knead more than the 6 turns and it was a bit too soft for my liking (and to cut). This time it was perfect. Also this recipe is so easy I already remember it by heart.

When you realise you made trivets for most households in the family except yourself...but also ran out of the green tiles so have to wait for delivery 😂
發現自己給家族大部分家庭作了馬賽克隔熱墊卻沒給自己作的時候...不過拼到一半發現綠色磁磚塊用光了只好等到貨再繼續😂

Chowder. Mushroom, onion, cauliflower, blended with cream, sour cream, and sweetcorn added at the end. Also an easy no knead Dutch oven bread.
濃湯。蘑菇、洋蔥、花椰菜,煮熟後加入酸奶、鮮奶油,破壁打成濃湯,最後加入玉米。另外烤了不用揉麵的鐵鍋麵包。
