💯🎯 I agree capitalism has hijacked and monetized nearly all of our emotions, particularly with respect to big Pharma. In fact, if you look back to 1990 when Monsanto got their first GMO patent on “ Life” and then review the graphs on serious physical illnesses that exploded, you’ll see correlation.🤬

Woody meadows can create green corridors in urban landscapes at much less cost than traditional methods. Now keen gardeners can plant their own.

She is peering into his shrivelled heart here and telling us what she sees. I so hope he reads it.

A fair part of the Trumpist backlash is male *rage* at MeToo. The shred of a moment where a few women helped have their abuser held to account after entire systems - plural - worked to enable the abuse and cover it up. The White male fury at being held to account for anything is breaking the world.

🧵 Must read. #AtlasNetwork partners were boasting in an Australian parliamentary hearing & emails about their destruction of climate action in Australia. They claimed it. They were triumphant, arrogant about the law not forcing them to reveal donors. #auspol

Two things to bear in mind given the words you’ll hear over and over today in Australia: (a) the louder “the national interest” is invoked, the more likely it masks a narrow political interest, and (b) functionally, delay amounts to denial. #NetZero

The media keeps pushing the lie that fossil fuels are cheaper than renewables. They’re not. CSIRO and AEMO show solar and wind are far cheaper. The fossil fuel lobby funds the lie, and half our grid’s already renewable. The transition’s happening, like it or not.
