WEEKEND STORM UPDATE: Welp... it's official. A *WINTER STORM WATCH* now in place for the entire area. If you live anywhere in northern IN or southwest MI, you're included. This will almost certainly be upgraded to a WARNING within the next 24hrs, in my opinion.

Thanksgiving update for Saturday. I would change any travel plans you have the second half of Sunday. Our airport and surrounding cities (Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit etc) will be SIGNIFICANTLY impacted Saturday, lingering into Sunday. Very wet snow -- this is system, not lake effect.

Good morning, friends. Happy Tuesday! It'll be a soggy first half of the day. The good news... it's not frozen/icy! In fact, we warm into the 50s later today. Wind stays in check, but as a cold front comes through this evening, the wind will REALLY pick up for tomorrow.

Good morning and happy Sunday! It's looking just fine out there by late November standards. Temperatures warm into the lower 50s under lots of sunshine and blue sky today. The wind will be fairly light... great news for any outdoor plans.

Hi, everyone! No major changes to the forecast. Mild the next few days with temperatures well into the 50s. A cod front comes through Monday night/Tuesday, which will cool us off. Best chance for rain looks to be before lunch Tuesday.

Looking mighty fine this weekend by late November standards. Some sunshine, a few clouds mixed in there... all in all, not too bad. The next system comes early/mid week ahead of a cold front. That will be rain chances Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Good morning! It's a foggy start, but we'll slowly see that fog lift through the afternoon as temperatures near 50°. Fingers crossed for a peek or two of some sunshine later on. I don't know about you - I'm in need of some blue sky!

FOGGY: Getting a bit foggy out there, with the Kankakee Valley area seeing some dense fog developing. Could have some minor issues in the AM - may not hurt to check school statuses when you wake up!

ROLLER COASTER: To no surprise, the ups and downs continue through late November. It looks pretty mild as we kick off next week, with highs well into the 50s (perhaps 60°!). As we approach Thanksgiving, and especially the last few days of November, a big pattern flip is likely.

I did a deep dive into the data, and I did tweak some of the rain I had in the forecast for late week. I think we're mainly dry, other than a few showers here & there late week. I did remove from Saturday... looking pretty good if you're celebrating ND's last homegame!

LATE MORNING UPDATE: A few rain showers out there, but they'll continue to dwindle in coverage as the bulk of precip moves out of our area. Staying gloomy most of the day... fingers crossed for a peek or two of sun by late afternoon, but certainly not much today.

Good morning. Not the nicest start to the day with some rain showers, mixing with a few snowflakes/sleet out there. No impacts to roads, though. Just wet. Temperatures in the middle 30s. Rain showers should move out by the later afternoon.

MON EVENING UPDATE: On & off rain showers will move through the region tonight, continuing into the first half of our Tuesday. Could see a few snowflakes/sleet mix in, mainly SW MI. No impacts to travel... just impacts to emotion. :)

Canadian Pacific holiday train is this weekend!! It rolls through OVERNIGHT Saturday into Sunday morning. This are ETAs. Times can different by a couple of hours depending on how quick customs in Windsor/Detroit are, along with other freight traffic. Enjoy!

Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday! Blue sky is the theme today, so that's great, but it will be MUCH chiller than that past two days. Expect highs only in the middle 40s. But... that time of year where we NEVER complain about that blue sky, regardless of temperatures. :)

Good morning and happy Saturday! Expect a warm day today with temperatures well into the 60s. Our normal high is in the upper 40s this time of the year... enjoy the warmth! Much cooler tomorrow. It'll be breezy today as well.
