The Globe had a few head-scratching stories today, but this one takes the cake. The league should probably update its outdated Talking Points that the Globe is parroting here. 1/6

In case folks aren’t paying attention to it all, the league wants the Sun to go to an established NBA owner in Houston. And keep the Boston market in 2033 for the Celtics owner who right now doesn’t even have enough $$ to close the NBA deal, let alone get a WNBA team. Why? Money and control. 1/5
BREAKING: The $325 million offer made by a group led by Steve Pagliuca was accepted by the Mohegan Tribe and presented to Cathy Engelbert in July.

It was never presented to the WNBA Board of Governors for a vote.

Boston is stepping up with more than 900 affordable homeownership units approved and in the pipeline. But we can’t get shovels in the ground on them without help from the state’s Commonwealth Builder.

If you care about fixing the housing crisis and stabilizing our communities, see below.
Boston, we can’t afford to have Commonwealth Builder lose funding at the state level! I sent a letter to Gov Healey and now I’m asking you to act, too.
Nearly 1,000 affordable homeownership units in Boston’s pipeline are at risk if the Commonwealth Builder program isn’t funded.

This is troubling. Not to mention the truck pollution that this doesn’t solve.

Massport drastically cut its initial plan to reduce cruise ship emissions
Last year, Massport announced a $60 million plan to build shore power for its growing cruise ship industry — a fraction of the cost of a plan filed earlier to the EPA.

I’m surprised this ran with so many truth-bending statements. Ultimately, folks who have no municipal budget experience shouldn’t be meddling in city affairs. Why would Boston (AAA bond rating) take advice from the state (AA+)?

Sen. Collins: “Surplus funds should be directed toward residential tax relief, particularly for our seniors.”
I think everyone is in agreement, so pass the HRP on the tax shift AND pass Boston’s other HRP that allows for the senior property tax exemption to be increased.
