I simply refuse to help burn down the rain forest using AI. I often have ideas of funny things to pop into an AI, like what it would think a "mouse trap house" would look like, and I convince myself that whatever I imagined the AI creating is a thousand times more creative than what it would produce

This doesn't get nearly the attention it should. China achieved the goal earlier than their set goal, faster than any nation in recorded history, and during the pandemic. A modern day marvel of human achievement in my book.

I think the thing a lot of us are discovering, or rediscovering, on bluesky is that social media can be fun and lighthearted when you don't have ignorant, racist assholes engaging in mass bullying and bad faith debate
