The Cherokee County school board named an interim superintendent — he's a retired Spartanburg County School District 7 administrator — and appointed a search committee, the latest in its effort to replace its outgoing, embattled district chief.

Let me share a quick bit of irony: I set up my Bluesky account as clouds rolled in over downtown Spartanburg. (Sharing my current view.)

There's wind, too, but that hasn't stopped anyone from eating barbecue or listening to music at Hub City Hog Fest.
