I find it interesting that some high powered bankers, academics, and economists are able to tell the truth about the economy and some feel the need to lie about everything.
YELLEN: “.. businesses feel paralyzed by the uncertainty about policies that represent the strong but really personal whims of a single individual.”

Honestly, the Democrats would be much better off if they copied this instead of shitting on it, acting as if they are too cool to do a little propaganda work.

If someone with Bernie Sanders’ politics had this kind of production value on their anti-Trump shit?

That’s the shit that wins.
Worth 1,000 words. This picture is so revealing about so much about this “administration.”

Step back five feet from the dram of any photo about any Trump action or policy, and you’ll see the boom arms, the rigging, the floodlights…

Hahahahah they were just playing a trick on us where they’d pretend to fight back until we voted for them, and then immediately cave www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

The people who call Democrats “controlled opposition”, the Republicans talking about the “uniparty” and the people who post this dumb ratchet graphic have never been more vindicated:

If the Dems will cave on this there is no right of yours that they will not throw away if it means they can go on vacation.

I hate them with my whole heart.

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Whatever else is in the deal, agreeing to merely have a vote on ACA is a fig leaf. Even if it passes the Senate, it won't in the House, which also makes it an easy yes vote for the Senate Rs who might want to, defusing it as an attack on them.

It is a stupid ask even on Team Schumer's own terms.

I'm the spouse of an air traffic controller and I could not be more livid at the news that Dems might cave. I called and left voicemails for my Dem senators. If my family can hold the fucking line, so can they.

Lol, are they fucking serious?

They’re just going to rework the entire healthcare system for next year?
"A development that appeared to break the logjam: Republicans proposed that healthcare funding be provided directly to households rather than used to pay for a 1-year extension of ACA subsidies. That involves sending federal money into FSAs instead of insurance companies" www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

Yep.

And it sure looks like things are only “really bad” when it hurts rich people’s plans to fly in planes.

They brushed off the SNAP cuts, DOGE, USAID, ICE kidnapping people off the street, concentration camp construction, bulldozing the White House, etc. but they can’t tolerate flight delays.
Schumer and the Dems are about to teach Trump the lesson that they’ll cave whenever he abuses power to sufficiently hurt people.

What is this horseshit?
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

If I didn't live in California I'd move to Illinois.

It really is like sports to these pundits. Their only information is the game that just ended and their analysis is based only on that game.

Then, when the analysis turns out to be complete horseshit (because a new game was played), they’re just like “oh gee, maybe things are different?”
basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.
November 5, 2025 at 3:03 PM
Yep.

The shoe is on the other foot, but the Republicans are never in disarray… only Democrats
so where are the op-eds about republican overreach today? where’s the commentary about donald trumps war against american citizens or his terror campaign targeting brown people? where’s the pearl clutching over the conservative social media bubble reliant on nazi propagandists?

They’ll claim that the Democrats won because Democrats did what Ezra Douthglesias said to do.
I’m just a small-town political scientist, & it’s still relatively early, but it appears that The Actual Democrats did not Need To Do any of the Things or Learn any of the Obvious Lessons that Ezra Douthglesias said they Must Do & Learn.

It is amazing that:
1. The rich people of the world have coalesced around the idea that it does not matter what Party a candidate is from, he’s good as long as he is corrupt & willing to fuck over the poor/middle class
2. They express this opinion freely & everyone doesn’t say “hey, fuck that guy”
