Today sees the launch of the Office for National Statistics Census 2031 Topic Consultation and Government Statistical Service Ethnicity Harmonisation Consultation. Take a look at the 🧵👇for information on both. Please share with your networks.

Today the UK Statistics Authority has recommended Government commissions a census of England and Wales in 2031.

Subject to Government approval, along side growing use of administrative data this will support a system of population & migration statistics which best meets the needs of users.

Latest ONS data shows long-term international migration falling by nearly half since a year earlier.
