my jaw is on the floor and yet im completely unsurprised. trump’s only political conviction is that he loves a handsome winner
A reporter asks if Mamdani stands by calling Trump a fascist. Mamdani starts to give a delicate answer.

Trump (smiles, pats Mamdani's arm): "That's OK, you can just say yes. It's easier. I don't mind."

He’s surrounded by such wormy little losers at the White House that I think he was like wow a cool guy
Trump says more nice things about Mamdani and they shake hands

Thank you, Etsy witches, I guess

I mean, Trump is easily swayed by popularity especially when it comes to social media so I guesssssss it’s not that surprising that he loves Mamdani now but ?!???!???!?? The whiplash 😮‍💨

1. On Tuesday Night, Democrats won elections nationwide in a stunning rebuke of anti-transgender politics.

From Virginia to New Jersey to New York and beyond, anti-trans candidates fell left and right after spending tons of time and money campaigning on hate.

57% of all ad spending by Republicans in the Virginia governors race was on anti trans ads. Just an incredibly mismanaged campaign. Anti-trans politics are a losing issue.

why is this mayoral election different than all other mayoral elections?

in all other mayoral elections, we get to see andrew cuomo lose but once. but in this mayoral elections, we get to see him lose *twice*.

Hearing MSNBC say that you couldn't run Mamdani anywhere other than NYC because it's "cosmopolitan" is so frustrating. He could win in Chicago. He could win in Portland. He could win in LA.

Bernie, AOC, and Elizabeth Warren are very popular among Democrats across the nation. Move to the left!

I am soooo frustrated to not be in NYC tonight. What’s it like?? Honking and dancing in the streets, party vibes, whaaaat?

Breaking news: Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani is elected as the next mayor of New York City, defeating former New York governor Andrew Cuomo and becoming the first Muslim and first of Indian descent to hold the office. https://wapo.st/47rlrDf

Everyone applaud Judge Immergut for letting us have ONE WEEKEND OF PEACE in Portland JFC 😅
Immergut is going to take the arguments under advisement.

"I'm working as fast as I can to give a ruling that honors the 9th Circuit's ruling, but takes into account new facts and arguments."

She says she'll rule by Monday.

The feds are trying to argue that troops are desperately needed on the streets of Portland this weekend, immediately.

I’ve lived in Portland for 20 years. You know what’s going on this weekend? So many Halloween parties that it’s impossible to try to go to everything 🤣
Immergut: The Newsom case talks about honest judgment.

Roth: Look, we really do need the people there. We tried to take them from OR; the court said no. We tried to take them from CA; they said no. Now the 9th says we can, and we're entitled to do that.

SHOTS FIRED

(Important to remember Judge Immergut is also a Trump appointee—nice to know that occasionally does not exempt someone from following the rule of law)
Immergut: What if I had said on the record that the feds appeared to be circumventing my first TRO. Is it my failure to say that specifically that is the issue?

Roth: Trying to understand how that would matter.

Watching today’s hearing on whether the National Guard can be deployed to Portland 👀
I'm listening in on the oral argument on the feds' motion to dissolve the remaining TRO in Oregon. The 9th Circuit overturned the first TRO, but the second (NG from ANY state can not be deployed in OR) still remains in effect.

Judge Immergut taking the bench now.
