Candidate for Colorado Springs City Council District 3. Organizer, dem socialist, and certified hater of developers owning our city government.
This campaign didn't happen overnight; it came from years of dedicated people working hard and making personal sacrifices because they care about improving the lives of others. We were successful in being a serious contender as a grassroots effort because we had many amazing volunteers pitching in.

Spent the evening with trans and queer friends at Memorial Central for Trans Day of Visibility to call out UC Health for denying gender affirming care, suing patients for medical debt, and union busting.

Our last big canvass! I’m endlessly grateful to the dozens of people who have knocked doors, made calls, and texted voters in support of this campaign. We wouldn’t have had any success without you all.
Let’s get out and vote Colorado Springs!

Happy to announce I’ve been endorsed by Run for Something! With a median age of 36, it’s time for Colorado Springs to have a City Council that represents young, working-class people.
Have you dropped off your ballot yet?

Join us for the last canvass on Saturday! Meet at the park right next to Bristol Elementary, and enjoy a beautiful day of talking with our neighbors.

Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, comfortable shoes, and whatever else you need. We will provide pizza afterwards.

With only 6 days to go, there’s nothing like stress eating Purple Mountain Majesty while supporting one of my favorite downtown businesses!
Running a campaign is intense, but it’s been made so much easier being powered by amazing people (who know to fuel me with ice cream!)

I joined this sign on letter in solidarity with the residents of Mill Street, who are asking for a CBA with Norwood which intends to build a luxury hotel in the neighborhood. CBAs are valuable tools to protect communities from gentrification and displacement.

COS: You've got six more days to turn in your ballots!

We believe in leadership that listens, shows up, and puts people first. That’s why we’re backing @maryahfordistrict3.bsky.social & Chauncy Johnson -- two community champions ready to build a more just and inclusive CO Springs. #copolitics

Sweeps don’t make us safer or fix the problem of homelessness, they move people around to disappear them.
I’ll be showing up to support the unhoused in Colorado Springs - no matter the election results - and you should too!

Democracy dogs out canvassing for @maryahfordistrict3.bsky.social, who is running for Colorado Springs City Council District 3.

These doggos fully endorse someone who wants to restrict private equity from driving up housing costs and protect renters from predatory corporate behavior!

Supporting postal workers at the rally to save USPS! Labor unions get the goods, so join the fight to make Colorado Springs a strong union town.
If you’re planning to vote by mail, get your ballot in the mail today so it’s counted.

With my passion for migrant justice, this endorsement by the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition Action Fund is very meaningful to me.
Immigrants add so much value to our communities, despite facing xenophobic rhetoric and frequently the exploitation of their essential labor.

Colorado’s unemployment rate was worse than previously thought in every month last year
Colorado’s unemployment rate was worse than previously thought in every month last year
Why did that happen? With new and better data coming in, preliminary results were revised to a 4.3% unemployment rate in 2024, instead of 3.9%. In January, the new jobless rate hit 4.7%.

We need to elect people who care about progressive policies like affordable housing at all levels of government. #coloradospringsvotes

Cool cats support Maryah!
Teddy here knows how rough it can be sleeping outside for cats and humans alike, which is why we must adopt a housing first policy to deal with homelessness.
Providing people with stable housing is more compassionate and cost effective.

Joined CSEA in the St. Patrick’s Day parade as a supporter! Teachers in D11 deserve a contract and all public sector workers (like PPLWU) deserve collective bargaining rights.
