In this cohort of 387 newborns prenatal air pollution exposure is associated with alterations in levels of autophagy-related proteins. This helps to understand which children are vulnerable to airway inflammation and remodelling from air pollution.

In this cohort of 434 adolescents from South Africa we did not find an association between various urinary pesticide biomarkers and behavioral problems, although many pesticide metabolites were commonly detected.

Just released by @swisstph.ch: new figures of the heat-related mortality monitoring in Switzerland: In summer 2024 (6th warmest in CH), around 326 deaths were attributed to heat, less than in summers 2022 and 2023. South was mostly affected.
