Taking a moment to complain about apolitical people to ask: What the hell is wrong with you? Do you really believe in nothing? I'm not apologizing for this take, but apolitical people are allowing so much to happen by just...not giving a shit. How???

I feel if the US government is going to do what it can to let AI run loose, we need to turn it against the state; weaponize ai and deep fake tech to make them regulate it; make porn of Ted Cruz receiving bukake from his maga buddies.

I've suddenly become far more interested in history as a possible career path (as an educator). I used to be exclusively into music as a job, but teaching the next generation about what's happened before and how to prevent it from happening again seems far more fulfilling.

I've got a lot of friends who consider themselves apolitical, which I understand completely. It baffles me, though, when something major happens and they're like, "Who could've seen this coming?" You can ignore politics all you want, but politics will not ignore you. Now is the time to get involved.

Sometimes, I think about what ultimately happened to Twitter occurred. I've noticed that Libertarians have leaned harder right now than before and that if I still strongly identified with the party, I'd have stayed over there and potentially gotten radicalized in the other direction. Genuinely scary

I see a lot of people repeating the idea that taking out the president would be the best case scenario, but 1) The Alt-Right is so much deeper than that, and the vp is just as corrupt and 2) Killing him would do nothing but make him a martyr, and that is the actual worst case scenario for all of us.

Not looking forward to any part of today. As much as I'd like to sleep through the inauguration, I feel like I need to stay motivated in the face of adversity. It's about to be the hardest years of our lives and disengaging is not how we fight back. Stay strong, all.
