It's a peculiar enthusiaism, I admit, but this is a great morning for fans of right-wing media contortions. The desperation to find negatives in an obviously successful trip is a joy to behold. Even for those of us deeply discomfited by the whole event.

A few concessions but we’ve still got HARD BREXIT!

Will someone in Brexit Labour please explain why they’re defying common sense and not rejoining the Single Market and the Customs Union?

The U.K. fishing industry - weaponised & then betrayed & then abandoned, by Johnson, Farage & the rest of them - is better off under Starmer’s deal than it was under Johnson’s. That’s not an opinion. It’s counting. Anyone claiming otherwise is a liar.

It's quite clear the Tories saw COVID primarily as a way to feed vast amounts of cash to their mates:
Astonishing evidence at the Covid Inquiry.

Coverage of idiots claiming ‘betrayal’ or ‘surrender’ isn’t just bad journalism, it’s a dereliction of our duty to explain things. I’d actually forgotten just how bad it got but here we are, straight back to treating liars & spivs like authorities of equal weight to experts & honest brokers.

I still think represents the most shocking void in the UK’s COVID response - when the largest biomedical facility offered to undertake testing (many universities did the same) the government didn’t even answer. The cost would have been minimal. But no profit for private companies… is that it?
