If Dems and their backers are not right now cutting ads featuring Tillis to be played in Maine, Alaska, Missouri, Louisiana, and elsewhere, it’s political malpractice.
Sen. Tillis: "Republicans are about to make a mistake on health care and betraying a promise. It is inescapable that this bill in its current form will betray the very promise that Donald J Trump made."
Republican Sen. Thom Tillis on the Senate floor on the budget bill:

"What do I tell 663,000 people [in North Carolina] in two years or three years when President Trump breaks his promise by pushing them off of Medicaid because the funding is not there anymore, guys?"

Sending Marines to face off against citizens on U.S. soil is fundamentally un-American, a MASSIVE waste of taxpayer dollars, and an insult to our servicemembers.

A dangerous and needless escalation by a wannabe dictator.

Everyone must speak out against this abuse of power.

Very well stated.
what i see is a white house whose ambitions outstrip its resources, who did not count on facing mass resistance, and which is scrambling to escalate the situation in hopes that a display of force will make people shut up

First, L.A. burns to the ground. Now they get ICED.
Still LA, ICE is gathered again to start another operation after tear gassing civilians for hours at Paramount. A massive ICE presence stands across the street from civilians. This is live right now.

Just called @padilla.senate.gov and @schiff.senate.gov to tell them that the bar for my vote and dollars is being set right now by @booker.senate.gov. If @schumer.senate.gov isn't willing to support the baseline of action we should expect, he should be removed as leader. I urge you to the same.

Sen. Cory Booker's marathon speech on the Senate floor won the floundering Democratic Party something it has desperately needed in the Trump era: attention and the applause of its base.

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

Absolute truth...
Trump is many things, but at his core, he's a grifter - a carnival-style conman. He peddles rudimentary and unmistakable frauds to a fearful angry following of aggrieved people who, quite frankly, disgust him.
He feeds them heaping helpings of emotionalized bullshit, and they ask for bigger spoons.
