In 1953, at the intersection of technology & faith, the iconic Arthur C. Clark wrote a prophetic short story. The ending of “The Nine Billion Names of God” still sends a shiver down my spine. I wouldn’t call it #SciFi now, but its shadow reaches long into our own present & hunger for #AI and #AGI.

Hey @thedailybeast.bsky.social, this is terrible headline writing, even for click-bait. The article clearly states that these were pre-DoGE public servants. Maligning them by lumping them in with the inexperienced new staffers is bad journalism. You should change the headline and offer an apology.

In the coming weeks, a lot of slow-on-the uptake folks are going to begin belatedly realizing Trump is both an inept moron and a dangerous autocrat. Our great civic challenge in these trying times will be calmly welcoming them aboard instead of primal-screaming in their faces.

www.startribune.com/usaid-shutte... If you have Democratic representatives/senators, encourage them to focus on this side of Trump’s attempted dismantling of the federal government. Have them call American farmers & others to testify about how much money they stand to lose without these programs.1/2
