Fantastic humour, kindness, and humanity. John McCallum served with incredible dignity. Appointed my ‘Parliamentary buddy’ in 2004, he helped me enormously in those early years and remained a friend and mentor ever since (as he was to so many). I’ll miss you dearly, John.

For the 1st time in 21 years, I won’t be on the ballot in Ajax but I am so happy that Jennifer McKelvie will be. Jennifer has an impressive record of advocacy and results. She is a kind, genuine person you can count on. I’m excited that she has stepped forward to serve. Go Jennifer!
