Locked myself in the studio today and put the final touches on my latest melodic prog instrumental. If you haven’t heard my side project Chromalith, it’s very different from my usual jazz fusion stuff. Anyway, it drops on some day I randomly picked next year. Dissolution Day - Jan 20th

My favorite pastime in December is defending myself and others for posting Spotify Wrapped stats. You can hate Spotify but don’t pretend like moving to Tidal or Bandcamp is ethical/better for the artist. Stop shaming other artists. Encourage consumers to support music financially. #haterseverywhere

There is no such thing as an ethical streaming platform. Stop acting like Spotify is “the bad one”. They all take advantage of artists. Instead of shitting on musicians for celebrating their wrapped stats, encourage consumers to spend money on their favorite artists that they get to listen to…

Currently writing and recording the fourth full length Grundhoefer & Brimer studio album. We are a jazz fusion duo but we’ve always had roots in bluegrass/country so we are leaning into a classic Nashville pickin’ sound. Gotta resist the urge to title it some portmanteau with “tele” in the title…

Last night I went and saw my fav Plini in Atlanta. Killer show. Then a nice bonus catching Animals as Leaders after. They were great. Not really my jam, but super heavy and technical. Definitely make sure you get out and see Plini and his band at some point. They are super tight.

Is there a best practice on this platform? Really finding it hard to connect with people. I don’t even know how to locate all my folks from other platforms. Is #hashtags a thing here? I just kinda don’t get it yet…
