The #AltGov folks kept me sane (and laughing) during Cantaloupe Caligula's first installation.

They're great, informative follows and all around decent humans.
Yes, there are verified #AltGov accounts. I was asked to contribute due to the pandemic. I was then interviewed at length for sufficient and appropriate qualifications by more than one found below. Despite (or including) the shenanigans, they do indeed take their vetting seriously.

Another awesome skeet from Michael Harriot, teaching us what we didn't learn in school.
Before everyone arrives from that other app, I want to make a confession:

I'm planning a robbery

I already have a target, a crew & a blueprint, I just need 1 more thing:

Will you help me recreate the greatest Black on Black crime in US history?

A story

An announcement

Living in the UK with no American friends here, Thanksgiving isn't celebrated. So I made myself useful: the Christmas kahlua is finally ready, & I made some amazing meatballs bc...meatball subs.

I may, however, gotten overly enthusiastic in my use of garlic. Upside: I'm safe from vampires.🍽🍝

Media figures are bending a knee.
Public figures want to accommodate.

It is up to us to form a new opposition.
We will not back down. We must not obey.

And Nero will fiddle while Rome burns. But that's the point, isn't it?
Not to alarm everyone, but there's an increasing chance that we will suffer through another pandemic.

Under the leadership of another Trump administration.

Makes me sad re-reading this amazing letter from ex-Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox sent to high school seniors in 1994 after they asked him “What should Americans learn from Watergate?” 20 years later in ‘94.

His answer is remarkable—unfortunately things didn’t work out so well in 2024.
