Scottish Independence - Scotland, soon to be the 66th country to gain independence from the UK

Yep, and can't help conflate this with the fact that, due to temps in Scotland regularly plummeting lower than south of the border, removal of winter fuel payments can hit harder up here... hypothermia or even death kinda harder 😞

I'm living my best TV life right now.

Shetland, The Burning Girls, Wolf Hall, The Mirror and The Light. Plus I've watched Jude and Far From The Madding Crowd the past week. I do love a bit of Thomas Hardy, but by Christ his novels are depressing

Next Sunday (24/11), fellow author Alex Nye and I will be running a writing workshop at Strathearn Arts in Crieff, Perthshire. Theme: Hope, which should be entertaining since we both write about crime, death, horrid ghosties etc.
Voice from the audience: "I hope I don't meet any."

🥀 The last time Labour held the keys to the City Chambers, they discriminated against their own workers.

The SNP resolved this injustice & paid our workers what they were owed.

At a sum of £30mil per year, Glaswegians are literally paying the price for Labour’s incompetence.

😅 And that’s the final weekend of the campaign done (for 3/4 of our by-elections)!

Our teams have been out all weekend earning every single vote.

Your vote really matters in these by-elections. Please remember to vote SNP this Thursday 21st November 🗳️

Syboes (or sybees I would pronounce)
Poor Oot (wedding scramble)
Syver or siver (a gutter in the road, the rain ran down)
Bumps or double bumps (really fast turns of a skipping rope, ending in red raw stinging legs usually)
Dumps (or bumps on the back from your pals as a birthday celebration😁)
Scottish words & traditions are slowly dying out

Huntigowk
Guisers
Show of Presents
Wedding Scramble
First Footing

Let's all share our memories from when we were Wee?

I can’t abide Alison Pearson OR James O’Brien.

Both attention seeking media parasites. One an increasingly deranged Far Right Hell’s Housewife, the other a whining, hypocritical bully who voted for Boris Johnson and had a five year, on air tantrum about Corbyn Labour.

Awful people.
