I adore Knies and the way he plays the game. The kid is built like a fridge, uber-competitive, physical, and skilled. He’s a legit gamer! And the best part? He’s just scratching the surface! Ecstatic to have Knies locked up for the next six years!

I’d be okay with Toronto taking on his full cap hit if it means the Flames trade Kadri back to the Leafs. And don’t bother with your rational takes on why it’s a bad idea. I simply don’t care about the red flags. I miss having players who give a damn.

There are those who think a Leafs playoff game is an event to share with company..like a birthday or some shit. Then there are those of us who want to fucking bludgeon somebody to death if they even fucking hear you crunch a potato chip or clear your throat within 50 feet of us during intermission.
Friends of ours asked if we wanted to watch the leaf game tonite at their house, I told my wife if she wants to go, she can go but I'm not. Sorry. Can't watch leaf games at other people's houses or with people for that matter.

Whatever happens this postseason, the best thing we’ve got going is Matthew Knies coming into his own. At 22, he’s already showing he’s a playoff performer. Some guys just get it. They know how to ramp up their game.

I'm fed up w/ people gaslighting fans into thinking it's unreasonable to expect more from Auston offensively. At 13.25M, it's fair to demand he score a goal in the second round. Holding him to high standards doesn't mean you think he's a bum - quite the opposite.

The way Tanev competes, defends, and sacrifices his body is impressive. He also brings something I didn’t realize we needed so badly: a grown-up in the room. If the Leafs were an orchestra, Tanev’s the drummer, holding it all together.

I appreciate Matthews’ 2 way game as much as the next guy but it would also be cool if he could do something other than win faceoffs and block shots. Not for nothing but we’re also not paying 13.5M for Jay McClement.

Matthews should be super motivated to flip his playoff narrative. He’s had some solid postseason moments, but has yet to dominate a series. As captain and best player on the team, his energy drives the group. It’d be awesome to see him deliver something special.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Toronto’s scariest playoff opponent is Toronto. If the stars play to their abilities and ramp up the intensity, they should beat Ottawa. That said, it won’t be easy to take down the Senators.

If you’re afraid to make a mistake, you shouldn’t be in a management position. For the most part, Shanahan has flown under the radar, but his unwillingness to pivot despite nearly a decade of failure is baffling.

Dubas thought 4 expensive, skilled, finesse players would drive playoff success. But our stars consistently fall short when it matters. I’m team break up the core, but letting Mitch go won’t magically change how Auston and Willy play the game. I’m not sure what the solution is.

Matthews, Marner and Nylander are incredibly skilled players but they lack that killer instinct/do ANYTHING to win gene. I love my Leafs but we gotta keep it real. The Core Four needs to be broken up. And no, this isn’t a knee-jerk reaction to their play in this tournament.

I wouldn’t trade Minten or Cowan for a rental. I’d only consider moving a top prospect for a player with term who can help us for multiple playoff runs.

The idea of playing OTT or MTL in the first round makes me sick. I’m afraid of the Leafs doing very Leafy things. AKA self-destructing. Yes, I still have trust issues with this group. Can you blame me??
