As a native of San Francisco, just wanna point out the murder rate for 2025 is (so far) lower than any year since the 1950s. The City isn’t perfect, but doesn’t need “help” from any kind of guard or military or random assholes who won’t show their faces.

This is super funny - Kristi Noem needed to be on top of a building in a safe area with armed guards to confront chickenman, ten people holding signs, and a few senior citizens. WAR ZONE!!!!!! Honestly, is that the best photo op they can muster? (Also when I say funny, I also mean terrifying.)

It is hard to accept each of us have to stand up in this moment, when the media, companies, universities, and even our elected officials make us feel alone. I knew that the Trump regime could become authoritarian, but I thought we would have better support.

So now the US can blow up people with no trial because they felt like it, and ICE etc can detain anyone who is brown for no reason. I guess since Trump knows he won’t get the Nobel Peace Prize he is thirsting for he has decided to compete for the Evil Incarnate Prize, and is in the lead.

My pets make me sane and also not so much. My dog Winter, here, whose dna said he is half pitbull and half chihuahua. I love him but the anger and confidence of a chihuahua should not be coupled with the jaw strength and musculature of a pitbull :)

Starting to think that switching back and forth between the weirdness of Love Island USA and news about the fascist horror descending in the US might not be a good idea for my mental health. That said, I am unlikely to stop. At least Love Island has an end date.
