For anyone working in adolescent mental health: I *really* recommend reading this important paper about the most commonly used questionnaires (inc SDQ)

In short: most of them have poor psychometric properties, so do we even know what they are measuring?

My favourite teaching activity every year, in my session on thematic analysis. Students sort Lego into categories based on any characteristic other than colour, always followed by rich discussions on subjectivity, distinctness, topic dumps, and why ~ themes do not emerge ~
