Ha. I reviewed Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire in 2018, and the first sentence is: "cRPGs are niche". The world's in a deplorable state, but at least we fixed that, eh?

Silksong's lovely and all, but yeah, no. I sat on a bench that killed me with an axe. If I reached a bonfire in Dark Souls by the skin of my teeth and it just exploded and killed me, I'd quit that too.

I get frustrated seeing arguments against generative AI being that it's not "good" when we're already at the lowest requirement for mass consumption.

To me the question is why would we want endless "good" AI art? I value art due to the implicit assumption that it's the result of a human process.

I first heard Paranoid in Rock n' Roll Racing when I was 6. Years later, hearing the actual song - recognizing it, Ozzy's voice coming in - it blew my mind. Heard it just now again, sung by a 76-year old Ozzy at the farewell gig.

Still blows my fucking mind.

Not too bothered by ageing in a general sense, but it hits different when the conversation with the doc goes:
