Can confirm this email is authentic — and about nothing in it is true.

Social Security income is still taxed. This bill does nothing to change that.

It’s willful disinformation on the part of SSA. It’s a lie.
Hi, I think a lot of us received e-mails from SSA saying that social security will no longer be taxed - and that somehow there is "enhanced deductions" (how much enhancement can you make to 0?) for those over 65. What part, if any, of this is true? Thank you!

I’ve seen a lot of hand wringing about the dangers of going to No Kings protests and gently, I want to tell people to chill a little. These are permitted marches and the point is to be out there and seen en masse. Please don’t scare off people who are maybe going to their very first protest

Over 2 million people are being intentionally deprived of food, water, medicine, and baby formula.

Israel must allow aid into Gaza immediately. This genocide must end and the U.S. must stop being complicit.

People always want to look for a reason to believe that something like ___ could never happen to them or someone they love because they're too smart, proactive about their health, or they take such good care of themselves. And to promote their delusion they often blame the sick person. Disgusting.
I’m sorry to scare everyone but yes it is totally possible for someone to be walking around with stage 4 cancer, to have had many blood tests, and to not know until a doctor sees it on a scan.

"Women are PIs on 58% of the canceled grants, although they are PIs on only 34% of all active NSF grants.

Similarly, Blacks are PIs on 17% of the terminated grants, although they make only 4% of the total pool. Hispanic PIs and those with disabilities were twice as likely to lose a grant."
Another scoop from Jeff Mervis (@policyhound.bsky.social): NSF's ~1400 grant terminations have disproportionately affected PIs from groups underrepresented in science: women, racial & ethnic minorities, & those with disabilities. 1/3

I know you’ve already been calling your Congresspeople relentlessly, but I’m asking you to do so again for libraries and library funding
🚨NEW🚨: Donald Trump is attempting to strip away federal support for libraries. We will NOT let that happen.

Last night the President signed an order to gut the Institute of Museum & Library Services. But together, we know we can show up & defeat it.

These companies include fossil fuel giants like Chevron, Shell, and BP, who have been raking in record profits.

The profits of Big Oil should not be more important than the future of our planet.
