Can we agree to stop callling it Obamacare and call it what it is after a decade of Republican policies? It’s TrumpCare folks. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/24/h...

It’s impossible to reconcile footage of this event alongside footage of the enormous No Kings protests and not come to the firm conclusion that the American political system is beyond broken.
Donald Trump does NOT want you to share this footage of his pathetically tiny birthday parade crowd.

I need everyone on Normal People internet to know that American Girl Doll Instagram is doing doll protests today. There are tiny t-shirts and signs. AND THEN I realized it's a joint protest with the Barbie ppl, where there are EVEN TINIER SIGNS.

Overheard someone say “I hope I’m able to get out here and march when I’m in my 70’s”. Me: “I’m hoping you don’t have to.” #nokings #seattle

Another thing I love about the light rail in Seattle — getting us to our protest marches. In 2016 we had to drive. #nokings #seattle #lightrail

This skeet inspired me to learn that striking French union members created special pushable grills so that they could cook, eat, and march all at the same time and boy does that rule

While the size of the crowds in NYC and Boston and Chicago (and Seattle) is impressive, in some ways, the turnout in smaller towns like Bremerton, Edmonds, Shoreline and Astoria, Oregon is even more affecting. #handsoff

Housing advocacy often reflects a generational rift. But @marciapeterson.bsky.social explains why more housing options will benefit all ages www.seattletimes.com/opinion/more...
More kinds of housing would help Seattle residents age in place | Op-Ed
Seattle should make changes in zoning and housing policies that allow for increased density and different types of homes in more neighborhoods.

💚 u @theurbanist.org and everyone who came out, this was fun, let’s do it at least once a week

What I don't get is the argument that more housing will not result in more affordability. If that is the case, then why do we have bidding wars for homes in Seattle? Scarcity is what causes prices to rise. Econ 101.
