this might be a packaging technique. here in califas, asian & hispanic/latino markets fiercely compete for each other's customers. people like to get stuff from one place whenever possible. lately, japanese markets are moving in & removing non-jp items altogether.

i've taken professional cruises around the bay, and they are fun because booze. but nothing beats the one time my teammate took us all on her own sailboat and we sailed right underneath the bay bridge! and she let me steer it right back into the slip. unforgettable. bay waters can be brutal.

i worked in department stores in the 80s when they were a thing. the xmas music from t-giving through new year's day made me despise the whole season still some 40 years later. same with my sister and brother who did their retail tours of duty. mom said we were grinches.
Why the fuck do people love Christmas music so damn much? It's like seven songs sung by different people for an entire month out of the year and the songs are fucking ancient. I will never get it. I can't even escape it at work.
