Same exact principle applies to children being shot. No one cares about the 300+ times Hind Rajab was shot because US school children being attacked by assault rifles has no meaningful opposition either
One of the things we* learned from the genocide livestreamed from Palestine is that the obvious, indisputable starving of children is not enough to move the American political class. The brutal revocation of SNAP is no different. Been thinking about how far this says we are from the horizon.

It really does seem like there's a decent chance that these senators screwed us because they don't want their personal Thanksgiving plans to be disrupted.
Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

Truly amazing that any time the democrats have to bite the bullet and do something that ruins countless lives, there's always *just* enough votes to get it done, but if there is a vote on something that would actually improve people's lives, they are always one vote short. Crazy how that happens.

They are and have always been the obstacle to real social progress in America.
Democrats weren't going to win. They were going to force Republicans to kill the filibuster. WIthout the filibuster they would be forced in power to pass a lot of things they don't want to pass.
