81 years ago, FDR proposed a second Bill of Rights to guarantee every American the right to employment, healthcare, education, housing, and a living income. His words are as relevant now as they were then. Watch.

WATCH — @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social : “My amendment would redirect that $40 BILLION from Argentina to fund the ACA subsidies for two years… a far better use of taxpayer dollars.”

Why do we have money for Argentina while our own people lose their health care? How does this make us great?

Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

Amazing work here. American unions could learn something from this.

Elordi's performance is only more enhanced by Isaac's conveyance of remorseless arrogance and rage.

Del Toro beautifully captures the mirrored narrative of both men on the outside looking in.

The four hour trip to see @realgdt.bsky.social's Frankenstein in the theater was more than worth it. 3/3

I've seen myself in the Creature since a young age. My father made it clear in my teens that I was a disappointment to him. There is a level of rejection that I found uncannily relatable in Jacob Elordi's performance. How @realgdt.bsky.social captured that through a narrative focus was amazing. 2/3

@realgdt.bsky.social's Frankenstein is an amazing accomplishment of film. Incorporating amazing use of color, lighting, acting and direction, Del Toro has present a clear and engaging vision that must be seen in the theatre. 1/3 #frankenstain

I wish Universal would throw some money at The Mummy Returns to clean up some of the dodgy CGI. #themummy

With the way things are going, I really do get why halfway through Batman V Superman, Superman just said "Fuck it, I'm out...fight amongst yourself. Good luck with the mentally unhinged billionaires."

Artists behind some of the most popular films of all time are also forging one of the most powerful organized resistances to AI.

With solidarity, class action lawsuits and strong legislation, they're fighting to protect their livelihoods, and pop culture, from big tech.

My latest:
How artists behind Marvel, Alien, and the Matrix movies are fighting AI
With solidarity, legislation, class action lawsuits, and a little help from Guillermo del Toro. Plus, the Luddite Renaissance continues, and I open the mailbag.

Traffic this morning is as bad as it gets.
Due to a fire at the army testing lab a bunch of escaped, infected monkeys are roaming the expressway.
Despite the sweltering heat, don't unroll your windows 'cause those monkeys seem confused and irritable. #covidmonkeys #thesimpsons

So they didn’t like the ad. Let’s just post Reagan’s 5 min speech against tariffs as it appears on YouTube.

Over and over. On all platforms (some of y’all are still on X).
