Mekosuchus inexpectata, a small, terrestrial crocodillian. They had specialized teeth than could crush shells, like those of snails or maybe even crabs.

Meiolania mackayi, a horned turtle with a spiked tail and a heavy, armored shell. They may be the smallest of the genus. They were slow-moving inhabitants of lowland forests and woodlands searching for fruits, leaves and tougher plant matter to munch on

Can we all just agree that the question, “why don’t you have a boyfriends/girlfriend/significant other?” is not an okay question for any person to ask any other person?

There were some good deals for Black Friday & I saved on some staples, which was really nice. But mostly, I had to opt out. I’m still paying for this little beast.
Worth it.

We saw a possum in the flesh Friday night. Smokey Joel got to see him pass the window & was delighted.

Even by the standards of anti-woke journalism this is lazy dreck. The first piece of "evidence" that older gamers are mad about wokeness is a random Reddit comment — that isn't a complaint about wokeness.

My whole head hurts. And I didn’t even like the dinner we made (Ozempic problems). But I’m grateful to have spent it with my family.
My niece & nephews are so very cute!

So I finished Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age, & overall, absolutely amazing!
I also have some nerdy critiques. Mostly, I’d didn’t at all like the way that it didn’t commit to a time period, like 45,000 years ago, or something. The Changing Environment narrative was not effective in only 5 episodes. 1/

Omg I’ve lived next to people digging these all my life & never knew! Holy crap. It was not part of beach town safety lore. They taught us about rip currents & high tide & stingrays, but never this!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kQX... today i learned that more people get killed a year by "digging a hole too big in the sand" at the beach than by sharks. Because humans love to dig holes.

This weekend’s project was ice-dyeing a Sherpa-lined hoodie (which is only $20 on Amazon btw). If I could redo it, I’d have gotten a true blue powder dye, bc the end result was that the teal looked more green. Also woulda reversed directions & been less rushed.

The Cretaceous air & sea. I love azhdarchid pterosaurs like Arambourgiania and the more famous, Quetzalcoatlus. These cuties could grow to the size of a small plane.

Oh the exquisite, mundane joy that is sitting indoors wrapped in one’s favorite flannel shirt & wool cardigan on a rainy day, sipping your first a cup of tea that you have made to your exact liking, in a mug you find pleasing, with a cat on your lap & a good show fired up to play.

This young woman was murdered because some idiot thought that his feelings rationalized extreme actions. I hope he gets the maximum sentence.
Prosecutors charged an Indiana homeowner with voluntary manslaughter after he shot a house cleaner in the head through his front door — a woman officials say had mistakenly arrived at the wrong address for work.
