The responsibility for resisting and correcting this behavior shouldn’t fall solely on a specific gender. If you’re a man of conscience and you see another man mimicking Nick Fuentes, fuck him up on sight before the women even get a chance. I mean that.

People are all sharing this approvingly, but the reason Halle Berry is mad at Gavin Newsom is because her scam AI menopause supplement health woo company can't bleed taxpayers because of the bill he vetoed.

A pox on all of their houses.
"...Newsom has vetoed our menopause bill, not one but two years in a row. But that's OK, because he's not going to be governor forever. And with the way he's overlooked women, half the population, by devaluing us in midlife, he probably should not be our next president either."

academics, especially anti-capitalists, I beg of you:
understand that your university is not a functioning educational institution but a hedge fund that offers classes. you have been trained to be complicit in a system of corporate fascism. your administration is never acting in good faith. NEVER.
While it's tempting to look at each university's failure as separate incidents they all start in the same place: the financialization of academia. context.center/topics/acade...

I wonder why criticism of Israel is an exception to the First Amendment in America, almost as if you're attacking God or the King, and why it's always women, nonwhite people, or (most often) nonwhite women who get harassed or lose their jobs?

Fascinating stuff (and yeah, obligatory note that AI is a stupid label, this isn't an LLM etc)

But once again, this is also about substituting mere prediction for explanation. Understanding is overhead to capital, predictions are all it cares about. Capital is trying to get rid of science

the part about the special-ed teacher who let her create a fake newspaper and write a play 🥲
I was kinda nervous about giving this speech TBH. I don't usually get nervous about public speaking but going to a fancy Washington DC event and talking about fascism and why AI sucks felt like a lot honestly. I was so relieved people seemed to like it.
So I was invited to accept an award for "imagination in service to society." This forced me to think a bit about what "imagination," "service" and "society" mean to me.

Here's the speech I delivered last night:
