It turns out that The Elephant Club is, in fact, an evil elephant themed cult. They intended to sacrifice the Wizard the following day but he managed to escape their dungeon with his life, and his fake plastic mustache, still in one piece.

The Wizard drank everybody under the table, then he drank the tables into the basement! The Elephant Club members were quite impressed and made him a full member, which included a ceremonial trunk.
