One year ago today, I was staying at a bungalow in Cornwall with my partner and my mother in law, alarm set for 6am, anxiously waiting for my life to change forever.

As a trans person in the UK I feel so hopeless and powerless. I watch the news coming from the US and all I can do is post my thoughts on a silly app and write words on a page.

Find it very annoying that in light of the horrible shit that’s happening to trans people in the US, the narrative of cis progressives is still “he won’t stop at trans people!!” when it is actually bad even if he did stop there as trans people are, in fact, people

Reminded of how lovely it is on Bluesky when I decide to check in on my threads account and see my mother arguing with a transphobic man about my existence. Good on my mum but it’s understandable that cis people have more energy for it than us trans folk.
