HURRY UP TOMORROW did not need to be 85 minutes long.
There’s some remarkable work on the album, but it’s all so sonically similar…the whole thing ends up feeling like a dirge of synths and dreamlike vocals.
At least DAWN FM had an interesting conceit and was conscious not to overstay its welcome.

One thing I've learned over the past 2.5 weeks: memory by association is so goddamn powerful. Songs, places, people, you name it. I never realised how many of my own memories are tied to...well, just *things* in the world. Both cool and heartbreaking at the same time.

Just finished rewatching ARRIVAL…because of course I’m writing an essay on it for a paper this term (I wasn’t going to get through 3 years of uni and miss that chance 😅)

So. DVC Polynesian Tower. It’s quite stark; the pool is tiny (but nice!); the gym is great; the bar is amazing (also quite small); + the lobby is detailed but ultimately a bit bland & soulless.
I am quite surprised at how little I felt walking in, compared to the charm of the Poly next door.

Just putting it out there: Universal Orlando’s (free!) Holiday offering is better than Disney’s upcharge event in Magic Kingdom.
Better decorations. Better music (fewer rubbish covers!). Better vibes. It just feels “more” Christmassy than the MK Party.
I haven’t even checked out IOA yet!

Really slow in USF today (IOA is a different story!).

Finally decided to try it out and you know what? I like it! Much nicer vibe than X and most of the accounts I like from over there are here too.
Overall, a lot better than Threads.
