Protests, mass meetups, conferences—a youth-led movement is reclaiming the Luddite mantle, rejecting a future dominated by Silicon Valley companies, toxic apps, and generative AI.

This fall, a "Luddite renaissance" is in full swing.

Why would anyone butcher this movie like this?
I’m at an anniversary screening of Hackers.

And the folks hosting edited the movie down to 1 hour.

I genuinely whole heartedly believe this, ever since I got cancer a while back my mentality with things were "I might not ever get a chance to make my stories real"

It stopped about being good or making it good, and quickly turned into "I need to do it now or else it just will never happen"
saw a post i liked on tumblr today.....didnt see that they'd posted it on their account here but i wish they would its a sentiment that resonated w me more than making "good" art it's just important to make art....thanks man

Taking a page out of @bad-example.com 's book and going to try giving weekly updates on leaflet.pub a go. The goal is to write a daily retrospective on the previous day's work and publish weekly on Sunday-ish. Here's a sneak peak of what that will look like.

The gluttonous organization: Galbraith’s 1967 concept of the technostructure still applies today. Managers and experts don’t seek performance but stability, absorbing every efficiency gain into more reporting, procedures, and management. Efficiency never returns to work and feeds bureaucracy instead
Are you aware of the technostructure that devours all your efforts to improve?
