Check out our preprint on #salamander 🦎 #macrogenetics 🧬 work. This was a lab-collaboration (lots of 1st time authors!) paper that I was lucky enough to be part of, headed by the Amphibian and Reptile Biodiversity Lab (ARBL) @ #UNM #Biology postdoc Luis Amador @luchoamador.bsky.social. 👏🎉 Well done!
It looks like a nice preprint about macrogenetics of global salamanders and newts. We put a lot of love and effort in this one. Now we are waiting for reviewers' comments.

In another paper published this year academic.oup.com/biolinnean/a..., with members of the Amphibian & Reptile Biodiversity Lab at @unm.bsky.social we investigate genomic variation in populations of four frog species in a barrier island system in Florida.
Population genomics of four co-distributed frog species in a barrier island system
Abstract. In nature, small populations are often of concern because of limited genetic diversity, which underlies adaptive potential in the face of environ

This was published early this year, and I want to share it here with you. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1... With Lisa Barrow and Irvin Arroyo @unm.bsky.social, we wrangled 1000s of genetic seqs and traits from >250 Neotropical amphibians to investigate predictors of genetic variation.
Machine learning and phylogenetic models identify predictors of genetic variation in Neotropical amphibians
Aim Intraspecific genetic variation is key for adaptation and survival in changing environments and is known to be influenced by many factors, including population size, dispersal and life-history t...
