Fucking gross. No doubt so they can sell stuff to AI companies who want to feed everyone’s creative to bots in the pursuit of abject artistic mediocrity.

Hard nope.

The what now!?

FAFFS. Fucking Tories. 2p cut on NICS. Rich people get mere 450 back pa (drop in ocean) in turn no inflation beating wage increase for nurses who then visit food banks more, causing more damage to economy w lack of money in workers pockets who cant afford to spend anything. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

Boy Swallows Universe was EPIC. I bloody love Aussie TV output generally (its not just because i miss the place quite a bit) and that was a shining example of why.

Whenever I do a talk/panel I always ask the moderator to make sure the first Q&A comes from a woman/fem-presenting person

That more than doubles the chance that other women will be asked, subsequently, whereas if the 1st is a man, men dominate the Q&A.

Mods are always surprised, but usually try it
New blog post time!
Thinking about that perennial menace of the conference scene - "It's not really a question, more of a comment..."
Some thoughts about original Reply Guy and how to deal with him:
“It’s not really a question, more of a comment…” (A modest proposal for dealing with the original Reply Guys)
We've all met the original conference Reply Guys, but what can we do to make participation better for everyone?

Watched WandaVision all the way through for the 10th-ish time. Lord above, it’s so so amazing. The layers man. The layers. The best thing to come out of the MCU. I will not be taking questions at this time.

Are they skiing??’ Penny drops bc The Great featured the 1st rollercoaster. Invented at court of Catherine the Great. Can we have a list for rollercoasters pls? 😆

Ok pre warning totally First World Problems skeet, but I think the most annoying thing about the death of Twitter is that I now can’t get ANY customer service at all from British Airways.

After four weeks solid coughing I cannot possibly see how there is ANY more crap left in my lungs but here we are.

Splitting a bottle of beer with my mate watching her down 90% of it and then handing me the dregs to finish … and I’m like: weird becks but ok.
Watching late-night low-budget films on Channel 4: weird FX but okay
*Seeing a billionaire’s imploded submarine from 2023 right beside the sunken Titanic from a whole century earlier* weird wrecks but ok

As Twitter dies trolls are looking at other media outlets to engage. Hide their replies. Then go to their profile and block them. Never engage. They will soon tire of their trolling if they get no response. Peace and Harmony prevails when we stick together.

Agh! there is NOTHING more irritating than an adaptation of a book to screen where some 70% of script ends up as narration VO of prose. I may as well get audio book. The basic rules of stage & screen: SHOW DON’T TELL.

Ok I’m REALLY enjoying Gen V.

Has all the teen high school deliciousness of Sex Education with the wanton violence of super heroes gone bad. What is not to love?

Another thing I’m thinking about is now that I am connected with all these lovely writers & artists here is: would anyone be interested in using a Bluesky thread as a bit of a self-accountability check in thing? I’m finding it a challenge to hold myself to tasks recently…
