How can we build a local culture of reuse in a city? How can we get unused devices from orgs to people who need them, and make this model self sustaining? These are questions we’re excited to explore as we extend our work with Coventry Council in our recently announced partnership. #circulareconomy

Great research from GSMA launched today Mobile Phones: The Business Case for Circularity. Consumer interest in refurbished phones continues to grow as a way to save money, get a higher end device and minimise environmental impact. It shows circularity as a business opportunity- a view I champion!

Beaches often look clean, but look closely and you’ll spot the microplastic- washed up, and trodden into the soils- often where the cows graze. We can’t just recycle more and make more from recycled plastic. Reducing plastic consumption means cupboards (and the fridge!) look different, but better.

Circularity is often thought about only through a material use lens. However reuse, repair and redistribution has huge social and economic benefits for people too, as the report on reusing devices from @green-alliance.org.uk shows green-alliance.org.uk/publication/...

‘Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.
