So excited that NAATI have launched a new certification - Recognised Practicing Deafblind Interpreter - coming out of our Linkage Project on Deafblind interpreting (also partnering with Able Australia)

It’s a dark day for research in Aotearoa New Zealand and the ramifications for the country are huge. Minister Judith Collins has just announced our blue-skies funder will no longer fund humanities & social science research and that 50% of what is funded must have economic benefit.

I’m a linguist interested in inclusion for minority language speakers and what that looks like at the interactional level. Working a lot on Auslan teaching and deafblind signing currently but also hospital communication and lg and politics
