I’ve been thinking a lot about a new kind of polling I’d like to see. We have polling that measures public opinion, which is obviously important, but I’d love to see a little more empirical work on public knowledge: what do voters know about politics and policy?

Open-celled sponge-like minds corrupted by the darkness
Sunshine days of hope draw dim
Spirits entangled in words of poison, division, silence
Despair creates fissures that run deep
Resist with strength
Resist with community
Resist with truth, reality
Resist with joy
Resist. Resist.

Ex-Israeli minister Ayalon: "There is no famine in Gaza."
Me: "Why does the IPC say there is a famine?"
Ayalon: "The IPC changed the criteria."
Me: "That's a lie. What criteria did they change?"
Ayalon: "They changed many criteria."

This. I feel as though this message is lost on the Dem leadership. Running to the middle is exactly why so many registered dems have either stopped voting or left the party all together. Progressive policies do not solely belong to the youth of the country.
Such an important point:

“Progressive policies…are very popular in this country…but you have a segment of the Democratic Party that keeps trying to convince progressives we’re losing elections because their policies need to be more moderate.” Matt Dowd

I wish more understood this.

A confession…

I do have sympathy & compassion for him. He was lied to, he spread the lies, & this is the kind of event that will make people see that this evil regime never intended to have your back at all. He's learning the hard way along with many others. Those of us who voted for Kamala knew this would occur.

The DNC appears to be unable to learn anything. Hogg and Kenyatta are the voices to listen to in these moments, not silenced. This is why young people (and some older) are fed up and exhausted. Tired of listening to the Chuck Schumers of the party. Tired.
The credentials committee of the Democratic National Committee voted on Monday to void the results of the internal party vote that made David Hogg a party vice chair, ruling that the election had not followed proper parliamentary procedures.

I think a lot about this quote from Anaïs Nin’s diary from 1939-1944:

“America is in even greater danger because of its cult of toughness, its hatred of sensitivity, and someday it may have to pay a price for this, because atrophy of feeling creates criminals”.

"not welcome here!" Bullies usually, eventually, get what they deserve. Good for Greenlanders.
In advance of the visit, American representatives knocked on doors to see if any Greenlanders would welcome Usha Vance into their home. Everyone told them no.

Greenland's PM condemned the visit and demonstrations against the U.S. were planned, sending a clear message: You are not welcome here! 2/2
