Look away now 🫣
Next week marks 5 years since the Government closed their consultation on pavement parking and we're still waiting for a decision.

We've received photos from across the UK highlighting pavement parking hotspots. Add your photos here👇 https://t.co/rO3Lat5JTB

Amendment 40 to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill has been voted down.

Had it passed, it would have meant more precious wildlife would have retained existing protections.

Instead, MPs have bought into the false 'nature vs growth' narrative.

Craigmillar Park, just south of the junction with Crawfurd Road. Reported to the roads team now.

Then they post about it on Social Media.

Thugs is what they are.

Thanks to open data, it's possible to look at what the spending on the cycle to work scheme is compared to other similar schemes, say vehicle salary sacrifice.
Both involve buying things before tax on wages so reducing your tax bill, giving an idea of the tax raising potential from each.

Solidarity. Always hear plenty about anti-social behaviour from young folk & forget adults are guilty of anti-social behaviour on a daily basis. Speeding, engine idling, fireworks, pavement parking, smoking at the school gates, not being able to put rubbish in bins properly, fly tipping etc…

I raised this at Transport Committee today. Officers are checking with colleagues in signals and will report back. They did agree that 10 min wait "seems excessive" 🙄

Currently a 10 minute wait for pedestrians/cyclists at the London Road/Leith Walk junction.

On a typical 1 mile walking commute, 1/3rd of it could spent waiting at this single junction.

Pathetic from Edinburgh Council, who claimed that the changes here would have no impact on active travel.
Reported to Edinburgh Emergency number who have passed to signals. Recorded a 10min video waiting for them to change and then they did.
May be to do with whether button pushed but didn't try it. Shouldn’t be necessary.

I Cannot Unsee the Photos of the Tortured Palestinian Hostages Returned by Israel

@dianabuttu.bsky.social asks: Where is the outrage, the coverage even, of the mutilated Palestinian bodies that the Israelis finally released as part of this 'ceasefire' deal?

I love that you can see the point on the Strava speed graph that my lunch fell out of my bottom.

(I saw the HGV driver flash his headlights and slammed on the brakes - just as well...)
