I know this genre of post is overdone but - half hourly trains while the sun is still up really throws me every summer.

Went to visit the newly opened Queens Avenue bike path in Caulfield today, just under a year since @highcapacityhayden.bsky.social and I sat down at a community meeting for the first time. 1/

Stuff like this is just the result of two different project managers yelling ‘out of scope’ at each other over a 10 email long thread
Of course, it comes to an abrupt end at the edge of the ‘project boundary’, like they all do. A path to nowhere, even though Mordialloc is just 850m away… and according to plans released to date, the Mordialloc level crossing removal project has no intent to fill the gap either. 🤦‍♂️

Does anyone have any insight into when they’ll release the next round of VISTA data?

I’m pretty sure the website used to say ‘late 2024’ but this seems to have disappeared recently.

Side effect of the old farts in the parliamentary party operating like it’s 1996 still
The Teals are Labor’s best chance of keeping the Libs out for a decade so they’re trying to.. destroy independents?

There is something very wrong in federal Labor.

Stage 1 protected bike lanes are now substantially completed on Arden Street in North Melbourne.

Mostly protected bike lanes between Macaulay Road and Courtney Street. Some painted buffer sections where there are mature trees in the way.

I wonder if anyone has considered instituting some kind of per km road charge for EVs to replace fuel excise. That seems like a good idea.
